Better Late Than Never, by Robin

My name is Robin.
I finally got diagnosed with NVLD when I was 39 years old.
The only reason that happened is because my son was diagnosed with PDD Autism and I asked his doctor who did the neuropsych: Do you know a doctor who does these tests for adults?

Yes she said and I ended up getting my own battery of neuropsych tests when I was 39 yo in 2004.
My verbal was super high, but my mathematical-spacial was like 50 points lower.
I personally have figured out that I tend to talk in monologs.
I have had to work really hard to master the listening skills of “normal” conversations.
This makes it hard for typical people to relate to me.
I sometimes suffer from depression & a touch of social anxiety too because I feel somewhat isolated.
Well my 500 words are probably up know. I’m on social media.
