I am that mom who has had to go toe to toe with all persons interacting either my son who has NVLD.
I am that mom stared at with pity-anger-disgust as I advocate for my son who is now 24 yrs old.
I am that mom who gets the brunt of his anger because he knows he can express his frustration and I will still love him.
I am that mom explaining to everyone about NVLD so they understand that he is not a bad person, just misunderstood and frustrated at his own discrepancies even though he tries harder at all things than most folks.
I am that mom who will never stop until I make NVLD understood by as many people/organizations as possible to help avoid unnecessary trauma to folks with NVLD.
