Have you ever been given a diagnosis of NonVerbal Learning Disability (NVLD or NLD)? Or do you think that you may have NVLD based on what you have learned from this website and other sources?
If so, we want to hear from you!
Very little is known (in terms of research, treatment, etc.) about adults who have NVLD/NLD. With support from The NVLD Project, Dr. Prudence Fisher at Columbia University has put together a computer survey to learn more about adults (aged 18 years or older) who have been given the diagnosis of NVLD or who think that they may have the disorder. This on-line survey takes about 20-45 minutes to complete and can be done at any time. In addition to collecting basic background information, the survey includes questions about common problems thought to be associated with NVLD, mental health, and physical health. Be assured that all your answers will be private – not shared with anyone. The survey also asks you for you for feedback on a possible new name for NVLD.
If you complete the survey, you will be given the choice to enter in to a raffle for a $200 gift card.
We hope that this research project will help us learn more about the life course of people who have NVLD.
If you would like to participate, please email Dr. Fisher and her research team at NVLDPro@nyspi.columbia.edu. We will send you a private “link” so that you can access the survey. We look forward to hearing from you!
